Our spring 2019 workshops are on the calendar! We’re excited about some new content and sequences we’ve got planned for the spring, including
- Data Science Essentials in R, a coordinated series of R workshops — Introduction to R, Data preparation in R, Data Visualization in R, Linear Modeling in R, Visualizing Models & Communicating Results, and Interactive Web Apps in R with Shiny — intended to walk through the key steps of data science work. Come join us Tuesdays from 10-12 (1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, and 2/26)!
- A three part series of Python workshops — Introduction to Python (twice), Data preparation in Python, and Machine learning in Python.
- A new two-part series on information design — Information Design for Impact, offering graphic design concepts and expertise, and Information Design in Adobe Illustrator, providing hands-on training in making excellent visual presentations.
- A new research series to support a project through the full sequence of activities — Funding Discovery to find resources for research; Introduction and Advanced Zotero to manage literature, organize files, collaborate and create; Introduction to LaTeX and Overleaf, an online and collaborative LaTeX editor; and for the non-TeX lovers, MS Word for Theses and Long Documents, to help folks use Word more productively to organize those book-length projects; and the aforementioned Information Design series, to help make your work stand out!
